Our online prescription telehealth service is convenient, secure, and available Australia-wide. All requests are reviewed by AHPRA-registered doctors and nurse practitioners. If clinically appropriate, your prescription is issued as an eScript and sent directly to your phone. We offer three types of prescriptions:

For regular medications you take daily or weekly. Complete our secure online form, upload proof of your previous prescription, and an Australian-registered GP will review your request. If clinically appropriate, you can receive up to 3 repeat prescriptions in one consultation, sent as an eScript to your phone.

Antibiotics Online

If Clinically Appropriate

reason: I have an infection or I feel unwell

If you have symptoms of an infection or feel unwell, you can request an antibiotic prescription online. Complete our online form and provide details about your condition. Our doctors will review your request, and if suitable, your antibiotic eScript will be sent to your phone for collection at any pharmacy in Australia.

Do I need a Medicare Card?

Yes. To request an online prescription in Australia through MIDOC, you need a valid Medicare card. If you do not have one, you can use your Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI) number. This ensures our AHPRA-registered doctors can provide secure and compliant telehealth services

Are MIDOC Doctors registered in Australia?

Yes. All MIDOC doctors are AHPRA-registered medical practitioners licensed to provide online prescriptions and repeat medication services to eligible Australian residents.

Can I collect my prescription from any pharmacy?

Yes. Your eScript can be used at any pharmacy in Australia. Once your request is approved, your prescription will be sent to your mobile phone as a QR code, ready to scan and dispense at your chosen pharmacy.

Can I get more than 1 script?

Yes. You can obtain up to 3 repeat prescriptions for the same medication in one request if clinically appropriate. Each prescription is reviewed by a GP to ensure it meets safety and suitability requirements.

What does e-script mean?

An eScript is an electronic prescription sent to your phone via SMS or email as a QR code. You can present this code at any Australian pharmacy to collect your medication. It’s a secure, paperless way to manage your repeat medication.

How long does it take to get a prescription?

Requests are usually reviewed promptly after your telehealth consultation with our GP. If approved, your online prescription is generally sent the same day. Processing times may vary based on demand and clinical requirements.

Can I obtain restricted medication?

No. MIDOC does not provide prescriptions for restricted or controlled substances. Our service is limited to medications available on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), subject to clinical assessment.

What medications can I get?

We can provide prescriptions for most medications listed on the PBS, including treatments for ongoing conditions and some antibiotics (if clinically appropriate). All requests are reviewed by an Australian-registered GP.

Is my data safe?

Yes. MIDOC follows ISO-certified data security standards and complies with Australian privacy regulations. Your personal health information is encrypted and handled in accordance with the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) guidelines.

Will MIDOC call or speak with me?

Yes. All online prescription requests include a brief telehealth consultation by phone or video to discuss your medical history and confirm suitability.
